Through the programme, young people are provided with a combination of practical workplace experience and industry-relevant training to enable them to transition more effectively from training into employment. The approach places emphasis on hands-on learning, allowing apprentices to acquire technical competencies as well as essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, customer care, professionalism, time management and adherence to occupational standards.

The graduates completed six months of workplace-based training in food production, food and beverage service, front office operations and housekeeping before receiving certificates during a ceremony held at Hoima Resort Hotel on Thursday.
